Holy Similaun was an enchanting and enigmatic musical project hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Italy, emerging as a compelling force within the European experimental music scene. What truly distinguished Holy Similaun was its extraordinary ability to transport audiences into ethereal and immersive auditory landscapes. Its compositions were not merely songs, but intricate odysseys that invited listeners to embark on mesmerizing journeys through unexplored realms of sound.
Those who ventured into Holy Similaun’s auditory world were guided through uncharted territory by the project’s unwavering commitment to defying convention and expanding the horizons of musical expression.
Notably, Holy Similaun engaged in remarkable collaborations with renowned names such as Carhartt, Slam Jam, and Spazio Maiocchi. The project also took part in compelling audiovisual works, including Zoë McPherson’s SFX “XquisiteForce.AV” at the 2021 CTM Festival and Rest Now!’s reimagining of the Die Hard soundtrack.
Performances alongside contemporary artists such as ABADIR, Chevel, Coby Sey, Dis Fig, Furtherset, Giant Swan, Kangding Ray, Lotic, Mana, Maxwell Sterling, MCMLXXXV, Plaid, Puce Mary, Renick Bell, Shelley Parker, Soho Rezanejad, Varg2TM, and ZULI further highlighted its distinctive musical identity.
